Echelon Car Insurance

Comprehensive protection for drivers who want comprehensive cover for themselves and their car

Echelon cover provides

Repair or replacement after damage or loss

If your car is damaged or at a total loss, depending on the situation, we’ll be able to make the best decision to help you. These may include the following:

If you need to make a claim for damage to your car that’s repairable, we’ll either arrange to repair the vehicle or we’ll pay you the cost of the repairs once they’re determined by our assessor.

If your car is damaged and it’s not economic to repair it, we’ll pay you the market value up to the sum you insured the car for, unless the damage occurred within 12 months of you purchasing the car new, in which case we may replace the car as long as the same model and specification is available.

Excess and no claims protection

You won’t pay any excess on a claim or lose your claims free discount if someone else causes damage to your car provided you can identify the other driver and prove that they were at fault, give us the registration number of the vehicle, and assist us in recovering the cost of the claim from either the driver or owner of the other vehicle involved.

If your claim is only for a damaged windscreen or driving light, you also won’t have to pay any excess towards the cost of the claim or lose your no claims bonus.

Medical expenses and lump sum payments

Echelon car cover provides for lump sum payments in the event of your death or permanent disablement in a motor vehicle accident while driving your car.

We’ll also pay up to $500 towards the cost of treatment for injuries you or your family receive in an accident that’s covered by your policy.

Premium discounts

If you do less than 5000 km per year in your car, you could be eligible for up to 10% discount on your 'Full cover' policy premium.

Legal liability protection

Echelon car cover provides up to $20,000,000 for your personal liability and legal costs if you accidentally damage someone else’s property or up to $1,000,000 if you accidentally injure someone while you’re driving your car.
